Glad you asked! It can be scary to try to get involved in a church without feeling like you've got to jump into the deep end of the pool right away. We want to encourage you to wade in at your own pace to help you find your place.
We understand you're looking for a place to be close with God. We also understand that we're not going to meet all of your expectations, so try to manage them. We are flawed like everyone else but we desire to walk with those who seek God in their lives and seek to learn from the Bible - it's meant to be a mutual journey.
There are six key ways we encourage you to grow in your participation, which include: regularly gathering to worship on Sunday morning, creating community by connecting to a Small Group, serving the community, giving back to God through tithing, and inviting friends and family.
Our Sunday Worship is when we gather our entire church family together every week. Make it a priority to participate in our main worship experience every Sunday - don't miss! Sunday services are an amazing opportunity for you to connect and grow with God as well as bring those you know who are far from God or disconnected from a church family. If you must miss a weekend, you can listen to the messages online for free.
Connect to a Small Group
Our congregation by most accounts is not very large but it will seem like a lot of people and activities to a new person. The best way to fellowship with others, to start studying the Bible and/or connect to a discipleship process is to connect with one of the many groups we offer. These groups run throughout the year, they are designed to bring new people in at any time so don't hesitate and connect to one. In connecting to one you will eventually find that you are connecting with the church.
Connect by Serving
Outreach events are the environment where we serve. Serving is not only a key to growing spiritually, but it also helps you build friendships, get more involved and make a difference in other people's lives. Outreach events are all about "Serving God by Serving Others". There is simply no greater joy than to know you are being used by God in a way that makes an eternal impact on others.
Go ahead and jump into one or more of our Outreach events and become a part of what God is doing through Berachah Church. It's a decision you won't regret!
Giving through Tithes & Offerings
We give to the mission. God has given so extravagantly to us in providing for our salvation and freedom and it is an honor and a privilege for us to be able to give back towards the mission to see lives changed and God's kingdom advanced.
It's so rewarding to know that every dollar you give to this local church is going to fulfill that mission! Together, as we give sacrificially, we are making an eternal difference! Those who call Berachah their "home" church regularly give a tithe to the Lord. The word "tithe" means "tenth" and it is a way of honoring God with the first 10% of our income.
Inviting Others to Church
It doesn't take long to figure out this place is just different. Special. A church where you can come just as you are. Messages that make sense, rooted in the Bible and apply to your life. A place your kids actually want to be! Berachah Church is simply a place you've got to come and see. When your new favorite restaurant opened in town you told your friends, "You just have to try it!" When that academy-award-winning movie premiered, somebody told you, "You've just got to see it!"
People who love Berachah Church invite their friends because they're convinced they'd love it too. And not because you're trying to get something from them; you want something for them!
Making a Commitment
After you've been here awhile and engaged in our community we ask that you pray about making a long term commitment by joining the church. This means you're onboard with our teachings, our mission, our desire to serve and desire to be a blessing to our community. We offer a 1-Day Membership class every quarter and invite you to attend to learn more about our doctrine and our vision. To be a member is to commit to be connected, to care, to serve as the "hands and feet" of Jesus and in all to pursue an intimate relationship with God.
